Welcome to Pet At Door! These Terms & Conditions govern the purchase, delivery, and handling of Farm Animals, Birds, and Pets purchased through our platform. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Nature of Live Animal Sales
Farm Animals, Birds, and Pets are living beings that require proper care, handling, nutrition, shelter, and veterinary attention.
2. Delivery Inspection
Please inspect the animal at the time of delivery. Check that:
– It is the correct animal ordered.
– It appears alive and responsive.
– There are no obvious signs of serious injury or illness.
– It matches the agreed description/specifications.
If there is an issue, notify the delivery partner and contact us immediately.
3. Return, Refund & Exchange Policy
As live and perishable animals, Pet At Door does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind, personal preference, or reasons unrelated to the animal’s condition at delivery, except where required by law.
4. Replacement Eligibility
A replacement may be offered under limited conditions if:
– An incorrect animal is delivered; or
– The delivered animal is visibly sick, injured, deceased, or materially different from the order at the time of delivery.
5. Reporting Time
Any valid issue must be reported within 1 hour of delivery via WhatsApp or email.
6. Evidence & Documentation
You may be required to provide:
– Order number.
– Clear photos and videos.
– Continuous unboxing/receiving video (where possible).
– Any other information reasonably requested.
7. Verification of Claims
Pet At Door reserves the right to verify all claims. This may include checking photos/videos, delivery records, contacting the seller/farmer/delivery partner, or requesting a veterinary opinion or additional evidence.
8. Customer Responsibility After Delivery
You are responsible for providing proper food, water, shelter, transport, hygiene, and veterinary care. Health issues after delivery due to improper care, accidents, environmental conditions, stress, or other factors are not covered.
9. Natural Risks of Live Animals
Live animals are subject to natural biological and environmental risks. Factors such as transport, handling, stress, age, breed, pre-existing conditions, and new environments may affect their health or behaviour. Please monitor their condition and provide adequate care, including veterinary-recommended energy supplements or medication where required, as travel may cause stress.
10. Buyer Awareness
It is the responsibility of the buyer to have sufficient knowledge about the proper maintenance of Animals, Birds, and Pets. Irresponsible handling or unnecessary interference that causes stress or contributes to health issues may not be covered and may be considered improper handling.
Please do not purchase an Animal, Bird, or Pet if you do not know how to handle it or are unable to provide proper care, food, ventilation, living space, and required attention, as inadequate care may cause stress and, in some cases, may have serious or fatal consequences.
11. Replacement Limitations
Replacement will be subject to availability and may be of the same or substantially equivalent type, breed, sex, age, size, or specification.
If a suitable replacement is unavailable, we may discuss an alternative resolution.
12. Product & Animal Descriptions
We provide accurate information, but photographs may be representative and characteristics may vary. Minor variations in appearance, colour, markings, size, weight, or other traits do not necessarily constitute a defect unless specifically agreed.
13. Availability
Animals listed are subject to availability. If an ordered animal becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss an alternative, revised delivery, or other suitable resolution.
14. Delivery
Delivery times may vary due to distance, animal type, weather, transportation, availability, traffic, seller/farmer availability, and other circumstances beyond our control. Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.
15. Compliance With Applicable Laws
You are responsible for ensuring your purchase complies with applicable laws and permits.
We may decline or cancel an order if it may violate legal or animal-welfare requirements.
16. Limitation of Responsibility
Our responsibility is limited to the services and obligations described in these Terms & Conditions and applicable law. We are not liable for delays, accidents, weather, third-party actions, or other events beyond our control.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website and apply to orders placed after the update.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Telangana.
